Inter have reached the price requested by Chelsea for Spanish full back Marcos Alonso, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Il Giornale.
The report details how the Nerazzurri initially offered €6 million for the loan with a €15 million obligation to buy attached but have now matched the €25 million price requested by the South London club – despite the rumours suggesting that the Blues have been asking for €50 million.
Barcelona have been trying to resist losing Arturo Vidal in January, the report continues, because of their wishes to send Carles Aleñá on loan to Real Betis in order to give him more regular playing time. However, the recent rift between the two parties due to Vidal’s complaints of unpaid bonuses may help facilitate a deal between Inter and Barcelona.
Finally, Lionel Messi has advised the Blaugrana’s management not to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, the report adds. The reason is because the Argentine star wants to protect the starting place of teammate and friend, Luis Suarez.
