Inter Sporting Director Ausilio Agrees Contract Extension To 2022

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has agreed to a contract extension with the club and now all that is required is the official confirmation according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

Ausilio’s contract with the club was due to expire at the end of this season but his contract will be extended to the end of the 2021/22 season – the same season the contract’s of Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and manager Antonio Conte’s deals also expire.

The renewal has been a long time in coming for Ausilio with negotiations having went on for some time. At one point it did seem Inter and Ausilio were going to part ways as reports began to surface that Inter were looking at Parma’s Daniele Faggiano as a potential new sporting director.

Ausilio will however remain with the Nerazzurri, who he first started working for back in 1998. He took up his current post as sporting director back in February 2014 as he replaced Marco Branca.
