Italian Report Claims Possibility Of Godin Leaving Inter Can’t Be Ruled Out

The possibility of Diego Godin leaving Inter this month cannot be ruled out according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The veteran Uruguayan defender only joined the club six months ago on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Atletico Madrid at the end of last season but has found himself fall down the pecking order in recent weeks.

Godin has found himself starting from the bench for Inter’s past three games with Alessandro Bastoni, who is 13 years younger than him, starting ahead of him.

Reports in the media in recent weeks have discussed a possible return to Atletico Madrid whilst reports in recent days have linked him with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he would be able to play alongside national team teammate Fernando Muslera.

In the event that Godin does depart, Inter already have a deal in place for his replacement, who would be Parma’s Matteo Darmian.
