Arturo Vidal’s will could prove decisive for Inter’s attempt to sign him this month according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter are willing to meet his contractual demands and will offer him a deal until the end of the 2021/22 season but convincing Barcelona to part ways with him remains a tall order.

Lionel Messi has urged his teammate not to leave whilst the club are also struggling in their search for a replacement which is also holding things up.

As per various reports, Barcelona want €20 million to let the Chilean depart but Inter have no intention of paying so much for him given his age.

The report also provides an update on Inter’s pursuit of Christian Eriksen. Inter are among several big names courting the Danish international, whose deal with Spurs expires at the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri are trying to bring him in this month and have been told by the north London club that he will cost them €20 million.
