Following Paris Saint Germain’s 6-1 in over Saint Etienne in the Coupe de Ligue, on loan striker Mauro Icardi discussed his future with the French capital club.
“We will talk about the future at the end of the season but I would be happy to stay here at the PSG,” he told the gathered reporters in the mixed zone, which have been relayed by FCInterNews.it.
“2020 has started good for me and the team and the relationship between Edinson Cavani, Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and I is good. We can make a difference at any time. We are a real team.”
Icardi joined the Parc des Princes outfit over the Summer transfer window in a season long loan deal from Inter following months of off field controversy.
PSG have an option to sign Icardi up permanently for €70 million and the more he scores the more likely it is looking that they will do just that.
Since arriving, Icardi has scored 17 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions, including a hat-trick in last night’s match.
