There was fresh contact between Inter and Fernando Felicevich, the agent of Arturo Vidal, yesterday according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Felicevich was in contact with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio to provide an update on the situation. Barcelona continue to not want the Chilean leave the club despite the 32-year-old wanting out so he can reunite with former manager Antonio Conte.
Barcelona officials and Vidal’s teammates are all trying to convince him to stay but his lack of a relationship with manager Ernesto Valverde could make it difficult for his mind to be changed.
Inter have already offered €12 million for the former Juventus man but the offer falls some way short of Barcelona’s €20 million demands.
The report from the Milanese newspaper goes on to state that Christian Eriksen remains the back-up plan in the event Inter cannot get a deal done for Vidal.
The Danish playmaker seemingly prefers a move to Inter over other interested clubs at the moment and Spurs are willing to let him go this month as they look to avoid losing him for nothing in the Summer due to his expiring contract.
