Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini discussed his move from Atalanta to the Nerazzurri in an interview in today’s matchday programme, ahead of this evening’s league clash between the two sides.
“I can’t forget those moments. The call from Inter had arrived. It was the middle of the week and on Saturday I would have been on the pitch, still wearing the Nerazzurri jersey, but no longer the Atalanta jersey. It was a dream, it still is today. The pride I take in being here is equal to the responsibility I have.”
The 25-year-old Italian then touched on his work under coach Antonio Conte.
“Conte has given us new ideas for the game, the midfielders are very busy and I’m doing great there. My objectives? It’s a goal I set myself every year.”
Finally, Gagliardini spoke about the Inter fans and the relationship between them and the squad.
“The fans literally drag us along and in the squad, we are friends, we challenge each other in every training session giving our best. Obviously, it’s nice that there are so many Italians, we are a united group that works and fights for the good of Inter.”
