Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta dined with the intermediaries for the Christian Eriksen deal tonight to iron out the final details according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Inter have struck a deal with Tottenham Hotspur and will pay them a total of €20 million between the transfer fee itself and the bonuses.
Eriksen has already agreed personal terms with Inter and will sign a four and a half year contract with the club that will come with a reported annual salary of no less than €10 million.
The report goes on to add it is only a matter of time therefore until Eriksen becomes an Inter player but before the deal can be finalised, Spurs need to sign his replacement, something they hope to achieve over this weekend.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder, who looks set to become Inter’s third signing of the transfer window, has made 305 appearances across all competitions for Spurs and will be leaving them after six and a half years.
28 of those appearances have come this season. In 1590 minutes on the park, the former Ajax man has scored three goals and provided as many assists.
