Italian Report Examines Conte’s First Few Months In Charge Of Inter

In today’s print edition, Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport have examined Antonio Conte’s first few months in charge of Inter.

Conte has led Inter to pick up 48 points in the league thus far, which is eight more than the Nerazzurri had this time last year under the stewardship of Luciano Spalletti.

Conte has also significantly reduced the gap between Inter and arch-rivals Juventus. This time last season, Inter found themselves 19 points adrift of Juventus but Conte has Inter sitting just three points behind the Bianconeri club.

Inter have only recorded a single loss in the league thus far with that loss coming back at the start of October against Juventus. Under Spalletti, Inter had lost five games at this stage of last season.

Inter have also scored 42 goals this season compared to 31 last season but have conceded more than last year’s Inter had by this time as they have conceded 18 whilst Spalletti’s Inter had only conceded 15.

Moreover, Spalletti’s Inter had one more clean sheet than Conte’s Inter but Conte’s Inter have the best defensive record in the league, something Spalletti’s Inter did not.
