In an interview with FCInterNews.it, Silvano Martina, the agent of Daniele Padelli has shared his delight after his client was given a rare chance to impress.

Padelli came into the Inter starting line-up for just the third time across all competitions since arriving at Inter in the Summer of 2017 for last night’s 2-0 Serie A win over Udinese due to number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic being out injured with a hand injury.

Martina firstly spoke on his client’s performance.

“Yesterday Daniele did very well, but honestly I expected it, I am not surprised. A great manager in Antonio Conte has a lot of trust and esteem towards him. Padelli was good to be ready, because when you play little it is never easy and there is always the risk of making a mistake.”

He then spoke on how his client currently feels at and about Inter and how he is seen by his teammates despite the fact he very rarely plays.

“Daniele is very happy at Inter, he is an Inter player and he really cares about the Nerazzurri colours. He has a champion like Handanovic in front of him and it is difficult to have space, but every time he has taken to the field he has responded with excellent performances.

“He has always been appreciated by the team, we are talking about a decent boy and an excellent professional.”

Next he was asked if it bothers his client that he has not played many games since arriving at the Nerazzurri.

“When we chose Inter, Daniele came from important years as a starter at Torino. Inter for him, however, was something special and he was very keen to join them and he is happy with the choice made.”

He concluded by heaping more praise on his client for his performance at the Stadio Friuli, a stadium his client is no stranger to having previously spent a few years on the books of Udinese.

“I sent him a message of congratulations, saying to him that he had been very good. It was not easy to play calmly, there was a lot of pressure and expectations, but he replied in the best way.”
