Inter Manager Conte Hopeful That Eriksen Can Get The Team Performing How They Were Earlier On In The Season Again

In today’s print edition, Corriere dello Sport have shared their belief that with Christian Eriksen’s recent arrival at Inter, performances like those seen in the early part of the 2019/20 season should soon be seen again.

Eriksen completed a €20 million January transfer window move from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and whilst he does not yet fully understand Inter manager Antonio Conte’s methods, he should be able to return Inter to the levels they were at particularly in August and September.

Conte has high hopes that in the remainder of the season the midfield in particular can perform as well as it did at the start of the season when Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Stefano Sensi all played together.

Injuries then disrupted the progress that the trio were making together with Barella and Sensi both having lengthy spells on the sidelines which forced Conte to change the way the team played.
