British Report Claims Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez Has Set His Sights On Barcelona Move

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is to reject the advances of both Manchester City and Manchester United in order to join Barcelona this Summer according to a report from British newspaper The Daily Star.

Manchester City and Manchester United have been following the Argentine international for some time and have had him watched by their scouts on several occasions.

City see Martinez as a potential long term replacement for Sergio Aguero whilst United remain on the look out for a top class striker for the side.

As per the report, United are unwilling to meet Lautaro’s €111 million release clause in his contract and could therefore try and tempt Inter into dealing him by offering Paul Pogba as part of any deal. For the time being anyway, Inter manager Antonio Conte nor Pogba himself is keen on such a deal occurring.

The 22-year-old has seemingly set his sights on a move to Barcelona where he would be replacing the ageing Luis Suarez and also be able to play alongside fellow countryman Lionel Messi.
