Dries Mertens Wants Napoli & Inter To Raise Their Contract Offers To Him

Dries Mertens is expecting both Napoli and Inter to raise the contract offers they have made to him according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Belgian international’s contract with Napoli is due to expire at the end of this season and the Stadio San Paolo have offered him a two year contract extension with an annual salary of €4 million plus a signing bonus of €1 million.

Inter have meanwhile tabled him a two year contract offer that comes with an annual salary of €4.5 million plus bonuses.

As per the report, Mertens is wanting €6 million per season and it now remains to be seen if either or both clubs decide to raise their offers and come closer to or met his demands.

Roma are also understood to be interested in signing the 32-year-old, who has been with Napoli since the Summer of 2013.

This season he has made 26 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 11 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.
