For the time being, the likely finances to any deal make it very difficult for Inter to turn Alexis Sanchez’s stay with the club into a permanent one according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean attacker joined the club on a season long loan from Premier League outfit Manchester United during the Summer and is now playing regularly for the side having fully recovered from the injury which ruled him out for almost all of the first half of the season.

Sanchez’s €12 million annual net salary plus bonuses is a stumbling block for Inter and reaching a deal with Manchester United is unlikely to be easy to reach either.

For the time being, Inter do not seem too focused on the idea of keeping Sanchez at the club past the end of this season as they are currently taking a look at several players that could arrive on free transfer’s and replace him, including Napoli’s Dries Mertens and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

Despite this, the report goes on to state that Sanchez is refusing to give up and will try everything between now and the end of this season to convince Inter management to sign him up.
