Following Inter’s 2-0 win over Ludogorets, Inter centre back Andrea Ranocchia spoke to the gathered media in the mixed zone and started by celebrating the win and making his 200th Inter appearance.
“I am happy with the win and to have reached this milestone for the club which is something important and gives me so much satisfaction.”

He was then asked if he ever doubted that the team could get the win.

“I had no doubts but we faced an organised team who are doing well and used to winning. We suffered when we had to suffer and then we went out and played our game and won.”

Ranocchia then went on to discuss the impact that Romelu Lukaku made when he came off the bench during the second half.

“He immediately made an impact. When he is on the pitch, the defenders fear his power and for us he is an important point of reference, however whoever plays is ready to do so.”

Next he was asked what Inter manager Antonio Conte told the players during the half-time interval at the Ludogorets Arena.

“He told us to fix some things that we did not do in the first half. We took another approach in the second half and took home the win.”

Ranocchia was then asked about Christian Eriksen, who grabbed his first goal for the club following his arrival in the January transfer window.

“He is a player of an indisputable class, that is there for all to see. It is normal that he has to get used to things and get used to the work we have been doing since July. Italian football is different from English football, it takes time. He’s a guy who works hard and will give us a big hand.”

In conclusion he spoke on what he made of Ludogrets attacking players, despite the fact they did not really create any clear cut chances during the match.

“They are good, they have players who run a lot, they are a good team. Qualification is not certain, we have the return leg still to play but we have took an important step.”

This season Ranocchia has made five appearances across all competitions, during which time he has scored a single goal.
