Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has not lost hope over a possible move to Inter according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The Frenchman drew strong links to the Nerazzurri during the recent January transfer window and some reports at the time even suggested he had agreed personal terms with Inter.

Many reports stated that his move to Inter hinged on Matteo Politano leaving but when Politano left the club for Napoli, Inter did not make a move for Giroud and ended up abandoning their hunt for a new striker entirely.

Giroud is out of contract at the end of this season and is therefore free to join any club who comes in for him come the Summer, if he does not sign a contract renewal with Chelsea before that.

As per the report, he would like to work with Inter manager Antonio Conte again and has a real desire to play in Italy and at Inter, who he believes have the perfect play style for him.

For the time being Inter are not thinking about how their attack could look for next season and are unlikely to start thinking about what they wish to do until around April time.
