Inter To Sit Down With Brozovic’s Representatives At End Of Season To Discuss New Contract

Inter are set to kick off talks with the representatives of Marcelo Brozovic over a new and improved contract that will reflect his importance to the team according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The 27-year-old has proved pivotal for Inter in recent seasons since Luciano Spalletti transformed him from an attacking midfielder into a regista and he is set to be rewarded for his continued good form.

Brozovic is already under contract with Inter through to the end of the 2021/22 season and as part of that contract there is a €60 million release clause.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta in particular wishes to remove this clause as part of a new contract that will see the Croatian midfield maestro given a deserved pay rise.

Brozovic currently earns an annual salary of €2.5 million per season and as per the report, the parties will sit down at the end of this season to work out a new contract for him.
