Official – Inter Follow Ludogorets In Confirming Their Game Will Be Played Behind Closed Doors

Following Ludogorets official statement, Inter have come out with an official statement of their own via their official club website confirming that the upcoming match between the two sides is to be played behind closed doors.

Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in Italy, in accordance with the relevant health authorities requirement and in agreement with European football’s governing body UEFA, the game will still go ahead although there will be no fans present at the match at San Siro as a precaution to limit the spread of the virus which has claimed the lives of seven people so far in Italy.

Inter head into the Europa League round of 32 second leg in a commanding position having won the first leg this past Thursday 2-0 in Bulgaria with thanks to goal from Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku.

This is Inter’s second game to have been affected by the outbreak after their Serie A game this past Sunday was postponed entirely.

It may not be the last game affected either with there being large uncertainty over whether fans will be able to attend this weekend’s match away to Juventus.
