Roberto Gagliardini and Sebastiano Esposito are both very close to returning to action according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Gagliardini has barely played since the beginning of Novemeber due to a number of foot injuries with the current one being bone edema, a condition where there is a fluid build-up in the bone marrow. The bone edema has caused him to miss Inter’s last eight matches across all competitions.
17-year-old Esposito on the other hand has missed Inter’s past three matches due to a thigh problem.
It now remains to be seen whether Inter manager Antonio Conte will decide to include them in his squad for the Europa League round of 32 match at home to Ludogorets or just wait to include them in the squad for this coming Sunday’s Derby D’Italia away to Juventus.
The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to add that Stefano Sensi is still working to recover from the foot injury that has caused him to miss Inter’s last two games.
