Inter manager Antonio Conte could deviate from his tried and tested 3-5-2 against Juventus this coming weekend in order to allow Christian Eriksen to start the match according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
Conte could use a 3-4-1-2 system for the match and if he does this would allow the recently turned 28-year-old to start in his preferred attacking midfield role at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
Eriksen joined Inter during the recent January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur and Conte has come in for some criticism over his perceived lack of usage of the former Ajax player.
Since arriving on a four and a half year deal, Eriksen has not even played in as much as half of the minutes he potentially could have.
The report goes on to state that Inter club captain Samir Handanovic is nearing a recovery but Thursday’s Europa League match with Ludogorets will come too soon for him. All going well, he will be back for the match with Juventus.
