Despite the current Coronavirus crisis, Inter and AC Milan’s stadium project will not be halted and will still go ahead according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.
Officials from Inter, AC Milan and the Milan city council met again yesterday via video call to hold more talks over the project and during the talks the clubs confirmed their two ownership group’s intention to still invest around €1 billion into the project, that will lead to the employment of some 5000 people.
The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that the same distance between the parties remains when it comes to all of the extras being built in addition to the new state-of-the-art stadium itself.
Inter and AC Milan have long wanted to build shops, hotels, restaurants and offices in the area to help them re-coup their investment and breath a new lease of life into the area but the amount they want to build is seemingly too much in the eyes of the Milan city council.
