Photo – Inter Legend Zanetti Celebrates 13th Anniversary Of Inter’s 2006/07 Scudetto Clinching Win

Legendary Inter player and current club vice president Javier Zanetti has taken to social media platform Twitter to celebrate the anniversary of Inter’s 2006/07 Serie A title clinching match against Siena.

Thanks to a brace from defender Marco Materazzi, Inter won 2-1 against the Bianconeri club and became champions of Italy for a 15th time.

Inter finished that season with a total of 97 points to their name and Zanetti appeared in all barring one league game that season. In his 37 appearances he scored a single goal.

He posted: “An extraordinary ride and then the great party as champions of Italy. 13 years ago today.”
