Edinson Cavani is the perfect striker for Inter manager Antonio Conte’s system according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan national team forward is currently on the books of reigning French champions Paris Saint Germain and it has been reported that his agents have offered him to Inter and he has even offered himself to the Nerazzurri due to the fact his contract is due to expire in the coming months.

Conte is said to be a long term admirer of the former Napoli player whose characteristics make him the ideal player for his tried and tested 3-5-2 system.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that if Cavani is brought in, he and Romelu Lukaku could form the most explosive strike partnership in Serie A.

It goes on to state that should Lautaro Martinez also remain with the club then Inter will be much much closer to being able to win the Serie A title again.
