Photo – Inter Legend Bergomi Recalls 1994 UEFA Cup Win: “A Major Win In A Troubled Season”

Legendary Inter defender and former club captain Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Inter’s 1994 UEFA Cup final victory.

Inter were crowned UEFA Cup winners following a 2-0 aggregate scoreline over Austria Salzburg, who are now known as Red Bull Salzburg.

Bergomi spent his entire career on Inter’s books and has made the second most appearances of all time for the club with only Javier Zanetti having made more.

He posted: “1994 UEFA Cup Final – A major win in a troubled season. A memorable evening on 11 May, both for the win, but above all because it was the last match played with two teammates Walter Zenga and Riccardo Ferri.”
