Inter are incredibly close to closing the deal for Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper il Giornale.

The report details how the 20-year-old Italian midfielder has expressed his desire to join the Nerazzurri, despite interest also from other clubs like Juventus. Tonali will cost around €50 million, but Brescia would be willing to accept a couple of players in exchange. President Massimo Cellino has no intention of forcing the player to stay with the club, especially considering it seems likely that they will be demoted to Serie B.

Tonali, who is contracted to the Lombard club until 2022, has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2130 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists, being one of the few stars in the Brescia squad this season, despite it being his debut season in Serie A.
