Joao Mario’s future at Inter is on standby, while he looks likelier to leave, Tuttosport suggest he could remain and act as a wildcard for manager Luciano Spalletti.
The Portuguese midfielder has attracted interest from Real Betis – who are now looking at Rafinha – as well as interest from Bundesliga side Schalke over the summer but if no offers that convince Inter arrive he will stick around.
As evidenced by Dalbert, manager Luciano Spalletti is unlikely to freeze Joao Mario out should he have to stay and will likely be willing to give him a chance to redeem himself despite the fact that the 25-year-old came out and slammed both the club and Italian football at the end of last season.
Joao Mario joined Inter two summers ago but has very seldom performed as expected while in a Nerazzurri shirt which lead to Inter loaning him out for the second half of last season to Premier League outfit West Ham.
