D’Ambrosio Could Play In Inter vs Spurs, Vrsaljko However Won’t Make It

According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, there is concrete hope that Danilo D’Ambrosio may be able to play in tomorrow night’s match with Tottenham Hotspur.

The defender had to be substituted off in Saturday’s defeat to Parma with an injury to his right thigh and according to the Rome based newspapers report, he will clench his teeth and battle through the pain in order to help Inter out in their Champions League opener.

While D’Ambrosio could well make it, one player who certainly won’t is Sime Vrsaljko, the report goes on to state. The Croatian defender is still sidelined with the injury he sustained on international duty and is currently working separately to the rest of the squad. He will be doing so until Wednesday at the earliest thus meaning he will not be available to manager Luciano Spalletti for selection for the Champions League opener at the San Siro.
