Inter Proving To Be The Anti-Juventus After Barbaric Performance Against Lazio

Milan based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport shared their thoughts onInter’s convincing 3-0 win against Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio on Monday night.

“Inter were barbaric at the Olimpico, a stadium that more and more seems like the preferred stadium to play at (except for San Siro of course) for the black-and-blue. Yesterdays win was the third in a row in Rome and the second in a row against Lazio and it was a heavy win as Inter regained the missing ground to Napoli in second place.

“Even the tough loss against Barcelona seems a little bit more acceptable after the Catalans crushed rivals Real Madrid in this season’s first El Clasico on Sunday. The Champions League gives and the Champions League takes, Inter now seems more mature, more confident and more aware, what remains is the technical skills where Napoli is slightly ahead of Inter.

“Inter is hard to move, with their size and muscles and yesterday – for the first time – showed a personality when moving the ball around the park.

“Today Inter is the anti-Juventus based on the structure of the team and on the fact that the team is getting closer to Juventus. This does not mean that Inter will challenge Juventus for the Scudetto, but the game against the reigning champions in December could be an opportunity which can also show just how good this version of Spalletti’s Inter is.”
