Just under half of Inter’s 26 goals this season have come in the last 15 minutes of play, showcasing Luciano Spalletti’s team’s attitude of never giving up, a report from Corriere dello Sport highlights.
In fact, 10 of the 12 scored in the last 15 minutes of play have come in the last 10 minutes and seven of the 12 have proved decisive in terms of changing the result, earning the Nerazzurri a total of 12 points.
All of Inter’s seven Champions League points have come from situations when Inter find themselves behind. In the group stage opener against Tottenham Hotspur, Matias Vecino and Mauro Icardi scored late to secure Inter the victory. Inter went behind in Eindhoven against PSV and managed to overturn the result in their favour by the 60th minute which they then hold on to. Most recently, Inter conceded late at home to Barcelona but rather than let their heads get down, Spalletti’s men fought hard and secured themselves a goal with thanks to Mauro Icardi’s 87th minute goal.
