Amidst a wealth of interest in his services, Hector Herrera has made a decision on his future and he wishes to play his football in Serie A going forward according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Mexican midfielder’s contract expires with current employers Porto at the end of the season and he appears to have no intention of extending his relationship with the Portuguese giants who he has played for since 2013.

Due to his non-EU status it makes it very difficult for any of the Italian clubs alleged to be interested in him to sign him up but clubs can of course reach a pre-contract agreement with him to secure his services from the summer onwards.

The report goes on to state that Inter are in fact in pole position to land the 28-year-old, who currently captains the Dragoes, and are ahead of Roma in the race to sign him.
