Garlando: “Inter Avoided Cake On Their Face As They Celebrated Their 111th Birthday Against SPAL”

Journalist Luigi Garlando has spoken on the importance of Inter’s victory over SPAL yesterday

“In the 23rd minute of the second half, when Inter’s party for their 111th birthday was turning into a cake on their face moment, Politano scored a goal with Inter’s first shot on goal before Gagliardini sealed the victory as he made it 2-0,” he wrote in his weekly column for Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It is a very important victory and less trivial than it seems.”

He continues: “It was Inter’s worst nightmare to possibly be six behind Milan next Sunday. Instead, Spalletti’s side are just one behind Il Diavolo and could possibly overtake them while even if they are to be defeated, it would not be definitive.”
