Inter Midfielder Brozovic To Be Tested Tomorrow While Miranda Needs An Operation

Marcelo Brozovic will undergo tests at training tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury that forced him off during yesterday’s 2-0 win over SPAL according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian midfielder appeared to pull up just moments before the first half ended which forced Luciano Spalletti to make an early substitution.

The initial signs are not very positive and he will definitely miss Thursday’s Europa League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt while it is very difficult to imagine that he will be available for the Milan derby also.

Brozovic was not Inter’s only casualty yesterday as Miranda was forced off at half time having broken his nose during the first half.

The Brazilian defender was hit in the face as he contested for the ball with SPAL’s Andrea Petagna and despite receiving treatment twice in the first half, the blood did not stop which meant he had to come off.

He will undergo an operation and like Brozovic will miss the Europa League match however it cannot be excluded that he will be available for the Milan derby.
