Sunday’s Milan Derby Set To Sell Out

Sunday’s Milan derby is on the verge of selling out with very very few seats remaining for what looks likely to be a game decisive for who will finish third in Serie A.

The numbers are not all that surprising either with Milan’s attendances on the rise given their recent spectacular turnaround as evidenced by the 61,462 fans that attended their most recent home game against Sassuolo – some 15,000 odd more than back in December when Milan had just 45,000 at their goalless draw with Torino.

The fact it is the Milan derby also makes it even less surprising.

The game also promises to set a seasonal attendance record for the Rossoneri. Their current highest attendance of the season of 74,729 was set way back on match day 12 against Juventus.

Sunday’s encounter will be the second Milan derby of the season and Milan will no doubt be out for revenge having lost the previous derby 1-0 back in October.
