Sebastiano Esposito has insisted that he and his Italy under 17 teammates have to pick themselves up following their defeat to The Netherlands in the final of the under 17 European Championships.

“It hurts, indeed it hurts a lot but we have to get back up and do so in a hurry because we are the vice-Champions of Europe,” the youngster posted to his official Instagram profile as a caption to him in tears with his runners up medal around his neck.

The 16-year-old played in each of Italy’s six games at the tournament and performed extremely well scoring four goals and tallying two assists in the process.
