Duvan Zapata’s Agent Denies Inter Contact For Atalanta Forward

Inter have made no approach to Duvan Zapata about a possible move from Atalanta, the striker’s agent confirmed today.

Romelu Lukaku remains the Nerazzurri’s primary target in attack, but the Belgian is becoming harder and harder to sign as time passes.

Juventus have now made a move for the Manchester United forward as well, with various reports suggesting Antonio Conte has earmarked Zapata as a credible alternative.

“If we receive any offers we’ll evaluate them together with Atalanta,” Fernando Schena told FcInter1908 today.

“Duvan is only concentrated on the Bergamaschi because they’re his club.”

Zapata enjoyed the best season of his career under Gian Piero Gasperini last year, scoring 28 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions.

Atalanta finished third in Serie A, level on points with Inter and fourth, securing an historic qualification for the UEFA Champions League.

Reports in Italy recently have claimed Zapata would cost up to €60 million, but there is no guarantee owner Antonio Percassi would sell anyway.
