Inter CEO Beppe Marotta believes newly appointed Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte is right to ask the club for a complete squad to work with as soon as possible, he told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia during the draw of the 2019/2020 Serie A season.

“I think that what the coach said is to be agreed with, it is right that the coaches ask to work in a deep way and therefore work with the squad as complete as possible.”

“Antonio Conte has brought enthusiasm, passion and a culture of work. Then it is clear that Inter has an important crest, so this combination of things he has brought will take us far.”

“We are at year zero with Conte, there are situations that need to be resolved and defined but we are convinced that we will create a squad of the highest quality.”

“The Icardi situation is difficult to handle from a media perspective, with news being reported that I define as captious. Then, during the past 40 years of my career I have seen many situations like this, it is the media effect that they generate that worries us.”
