Mauro Icardi’s chances of swapping Inter for Juventus this summer are decreasing with each day that passes, according to Tuttosport.
The Bianconeri appear to have made Maurito a Plan B option now after making a serious approach for Romelu Lukaku.
Even if Fabio Paratici did not sign the Belgian, though, he would need to sell three of the four strikers Juve have their books at present, or rather Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain, Mario Mandzukic and Moise Kean.
Juve could revive their interest for Icardi towards the end of the transfer window, when his price tag has dropped further, but Beppe Marotta might sell him to Napoli before that.
Marotta will meet the Partenopei’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis in Milan today, when Serie A’s fixture ceremony takes place in Sky Sport’s offices.
The pair are expected to hold talks for Icardi in some capacity, which would distance the Argentine from Turin still further.
Icardi will rejoin Inter’s first team on Tuesday when the Nerazzurri resume preseason training under Antonio Conte.
The 26-year-old was excluded from the tour in Asia and appears to have no future at the club, but various sources insist he is still hopeful of saving his Inter career.
