Milan Skriniar is convinced Inter are destined for great success under their new boss Antonio Conte.

The Nerazzurri impressed onlookers with their preseason performances against Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain last week, defeating the French champions on penalties after a draw.

Conte has brought high expectations with him to Milan, but the centre-back seems to think the hype is justified.

“You can already see the new Inter emerging,” Skriniar told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We showed what we’re capable of very clearly against PSG. We wouldn’t have deserved to lose and we played great football in the first half, which is positive.

“The fact we did well against Juventus and then them fills us with confidence. It means we can take on anybody in the Champions League this season, I have no doubts about that.

“Conte has helped us players understand that we can all improve, this is the feeling he has given us. And that brings enthusiasm.”
