Romelu Lukaku has four days to finalise a move from Manchester United to Inter, according to the Daily Mail in England.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left the Belgian out of his match-day squad for tomorrow’s preseason friendly against Kristiansund, but there is no indication Lukaku is injured.
United recently rejected Inter’s opening bid of £54 million (€60 million) but the Nerazzurri are expected to make another offer imminently.
“If Lukaku cannot secure his move to either Inter or Juventus, who are also interested in the Belgian, within the four-day deadline, Solskjaer will be forced to reintegrate him back into the squad,” Glen Williams reported this morning.
“It is understood the striker’s first choice is to link up with Antonio Conte at Inter, however he would also be open to a move to Juve.”
Lukaku teased supporters on Saturday by posting a picture of himself with agent Federico Pastorello, using the caption: ‘Soon to be continued’.
The 26-year-old has not featured in any of United’s preseason friendlies so far this summer, but time is running out to secure his exit.
The Premier League’s transfer window closes on 8 August and various reports in Italy this morning suggested United would not countenance a sale beyond that date.
Juventus are reportedly offering United a swap deal with Paulo Dybala, but it remains to be seen whether La Joya would want to move to Old Trafford.
