Alexis Sanchez’s Condition To Be Evaluated By Inter Doctors Tomorrow

Alexis Sanchez will undergo medical testing tomorrow to discover the extent of the injury he sustained during international duty according to a report from broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The attacker sustained an injury to his ankle during Chile’s goalless international friendly with fellow South American side Colombia and primary tests conducted by the Chilean national team’s doctors confirmed a “dislocation of the peroneal tendons of the left ankle with involvement of the flexor retinaculum.”

Some tests, such as the resonance test, were not conducted though therefore Inter’s medical staff will do that as part of their evaluation of the 30-year-old’s condition. Sanchez, as per the report from Sky Sport Italia, is at risk of facing in excess of a month on the sidelines

Sanchez joined Inter on a season long loan deal from Manchester United in the Summer transfer window and has made four appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored one goal and tallied one assist.
