In today’s print edition, Corriere dello Sport have discussed the meeting which took place yesterday between Inter manager Antonio and club management, a day after Conte blew his top post-match after the defeat to Dortmund and appeared to call the management out for poor planning.
“No emergency summit and no showdown, but only a normal conversation, far from prying eyes and ears, as what happens after every match,” it begins.
“The leadership knows Conte well, have infinite esteem for him and, given his skill and the results obtained so far, the club will do their best to satisfy him even if they are unwilling to go over budget, especially for non-futuristic deals.”
The report also goes on to state that his “Maybe I trusted some situations and I shouldn’t have. This team has its limits” comment after the Dortmund match referred to being disappointed by several players this season namely, Borja Valero, Matias Vecino and Roberto Gagliardini.
