Progression to the Champions League knockout stages would be worth just shy of €50 million to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
With two games left to go in the group stage, Inter know they must win both matches if they are to have any chance at progression into the next round.
Antonio Conte’s Nerazzurri will firstly take on Slavia Prague away from home tomorrow night before concluding their group stage campaign at home to Barcelona on December 10.
If Inter manage to progress, they will receieve a sum of €46 million, a sum of money which would greatly help Inter ahead of the January transfer market.
The Nerazzurri have identified two areas of the team they wish to strengthen with those departments being the midfield and the attack.
There has been no shortage of links to players for both departments and Inter will need plenty of money if they wish to acquire their targets.
