Ahead of Inter’s penultimate Champions League group stage match, Corriere dello Sport have taken a look at Inter manager Antonio Conte’s record in the competition.
Conte has managed 26 games in the Champions League between his time with Juventus, Chelsea and now Inter. He has won 10, drawn eight and lost eight with Conte’s sides picking up an average of 1.46 points per game.
This is significantly different to how his sides perform domestically. This season with Inter his side have picked up an average of 2.62 points per match. Whilst at Chelsea his side picked up 2.22 points on average per game.
Moreover, whilst Conte has led Inter to seven wins from seven away from home in the league, he has been unable to stop his side from losing both of their Champions League games to date.
This is something that Conte will have to address ahead of tomorrow night’s match against Slavia Prague as Inter must win if they are to have any chance of progressing.
