Inter central defender Stefan de Vrij has admitted that he and his teammates underestimated Slavia Prague the first time the sides met ahead of the second meeting between the two teams tonight.

“I think we underestimated them in the first game, we were not good and we did not play well,” the Dutchman explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

“They played good and they have even done this against Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund too. They are a strong and tough team that know how to win matches so we have a big challenge ahead of us.”

Inter rescued a draw in the dying embers on the opening day of the Champions League group stage against the Czech side and know that they cannot afford to make any mistakes this time round as they must win if they are to stand any chance of progressing into the knockout stages of the competitions.
