Speaking in an interview with Italian radio station Lady Radio earlier on today, Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has provided an update on the future of Federico Chiesa with the club.
Chiesa has long been linked with moves away from La Viola with Inter and Juventus believed to be among his fondest admirers.
Chiesa’s future has been spoken about in the media for a long time now and Prade has shared his delight with the progress made in contract renewal talks.
The 22-year-old starlet is currently under contract with Fiorentina until the end of the 2021/22 season and reports in the media have suggested an extension of a further year or two will be offered and it could include a release clause.
“The next meeting will be a peaceful thing, it will take place at the right time. We spoke to each other several times and when the time comes we will sit down and decide our future together,” Prade said.
“We are working to build something important. He is doing well and we do not want to put other pressure on the boy. We are happy after the last meeting.”
This season the Italian international winger has made 22 appearances across all competitions for the Florence based club. In 1766 minutes on the park, he has scored four goals and provided five assists.
