Italian Report Claims Injured Inter Duo Sensi & Handanovic’s Conditions Have Slightly Improved

Stefano Sensi and Samir Handanovic’s respective conditions have slightly improved but it remains to be seen if either player will recover in time for this weekend’s second Milan derby of the season according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Sensi has been dealing with a calf problem as of late in what has been an injured ridden season for him. The 24-year-old Italian international midfielder has missed 12 of Inter’s 30 competitive games to date due to a multitude of injuries.

As for Handanovic, the 35-year-old goalkeeper, who is also Inter’s club captain, sustained a hand injury in training on Friday afternoon. X-rays showed that he has sustained a hairline fracture to one of his fingers in his left hand, an injury that typically takes three to four weeks to recover from, although the Slovenian is doing all he can to try and be back for the match at San Siro.
