Inter Duo Handanovic & Sensi Doing Everything To Be Back For Milan Derby

Samir Handanovic is doing everything he can to try and make himself available for this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 35-year-old Slovenian sustained a hairline fracture to a finger in his left hand in training on Friday and trained yesterday without the ball and will likely do so until at least tomorrow.

He is scheduled to do some ball work on Friday and only then will things become a lot clearer as to whether or not the captain will be able to help the team out on Sunday night at San Siro.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that midfielder Stefano Sensi, like Handanovic, is doing everything to be back in time for the derby.

Sensi is currently nursing a calf injury and has been following a personalised training scheduled to help aid him in his recovery. He is expected to make a return to training with the rest of the group on Friday and hopes to be able to at least make the bench.
