Talks between Arsenal and club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over a possible new contract have stalled according to a report from British news outlet The Sun.
The Gabonese international striker’s current contract with the Premier League side is set to expire at the end of next season and he has also recently emerged as a target for Inter.
Inter are understood to have identified the 30-year-old, formerly of Borussia Dortmund, as a player they could go in for in the event that Lautaro Martinez departs the club in the Summer amid continued links over a move to La Liga powerhouses Barcelona.
Aubameyang has been with Arsenal since January 2018 and manager Mikel Arteta recently admitted that he and the club will try and convince Aubameyang to stick around in north London.
This season Aubameyang has made 30 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners. In little over 2500 minutes, he has scored 19 goals and has contributed a single assist.
