Inter Goalkeeper Handanovic Should Return To Action Against Juventus

Inter club captain Samir Handanovic should make a return to action in this coming weekend’s Derby D’Italia match away to Juventus according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Slovenian goalkeeper has missed Inter’s past five games as a result of a hairline fracture to the small finger in his left hand but he is nearing a full recovery.

Tomorrow or Thursday he will undergo some testing by the club’s medical staff to determine his condition and if the tests come back as good as expected, he will train on Friday and Saturday to prepare for the match against the Bianconeri.

This news therefore means that Daniele Padelli will stand in as his deputy for the sixth straight match when Inter play host to Ludogorets at San Siro in the second leg of their Europa League round of 32 clash. In his five appearances to date this term, Padelli has conceded five goals and kept two clean sheets.
