Inter’s recently postponed match with Sampdoria could be re-scheduled to take place next week according to a report in today’s print edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri’s match at home to the Blucerchiati was one of four Serie A games postponed in wake of the Coronavirus outbreak in Italy this past weekend and could be played far sooner than initially expected.

Inter are pushing to have the match played next mid-week but in order for this to happen, their Coppa Italia semi final second leg away to Napoli, which is due to take place next Thursday night, has to be pushed back.

For the time being, Napoli have not shown any willingness to allow for the fixture to be re-scheduled to a later date but the report states that a response is expected from the Stadio San Paolo club following their Champions League match against Barcelona tonight.
